If you are serious about beginning a home based business, I know you are researching different opportunities that exist. You are likely typing in virtually every combination of relevant home based business keywords into your search engine search box hoping that the right opportunity will turn up. In doing my own research of online home based businesses, I quickly realized that virtually every home business opportunity has several things in common. The first similarity that they all possess is the assertion that you will earn a phenomenal income just by working an hour or less a week just by implementing their ‘proven’ system. Please! I know you are more intelligent than to fall for that kind of nonsense! Remember what your parents told you – “do you think money grows on trees or something?” Legitimate home based businesses will operate just like any traditional business model which requires work. The biggest difference between the two business models is the flexibility and convenience home based businesses offer you. I frequently conduct my business when I am vacationing or during the hours that do not interfere with my scheduled family time. The second annoying similarity that I am sure you have noticed is that virtually nobody will tell you about the actual product or idea you will be promoting in your home business if you give them your money. In researching my competition in the home business market, I review website after website that asks you the consumer to buy into their business opportunity but they never reveal exactly what it is you are purchasing. Each site has countless video and audio testimonials coupled with sales copy that is SEO friendly with keywords but a clear presentation of the product itself is rarely set forth. If you are confused about the business opportunity, your future prospects will also be confused and likely not buy your product. Who is going to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars not knowing what they are buying? I wouldn’t and I know you wouldn’t either. The third and final troubling similarity with many home based businesses is that they rarely sell a tangible product. In my home based business, I offer my clients a tangible product that they can use to add fulfillment to their lives by taking vacations at significantly discounted prices. Most home based businesses try to survive on selling a concept or idea. An example of an intangible product based on a concept or idea is life insurance. While very few people sell life insurance as an independent home based business opportunity, the product itself serves as an example of an intangible product that does not directly benefit the purchaser. If you are seriously considering a home based business, be sure to find the business opportunities that allow you to sell a product that is legitimate, has a high demand in the marketplace, and is clearly presented to you so you are fully aware of what you are purchasing. Operating a home based business can be very rewarding personally and financially if you do your homework and spend the required time to make it successful.
